Hydrotherm Massage

What to expect from a Hydrotherm Massage

A Hydrotherm massage makes a good choice for anyone who can't lie on their front, perhaps because of mobility problems or disabilities, or because of pregnancy. Hydrotherm massage is great for anyone who doesn't feel comfortable lying face-down on a massage couch, or for those who feel self-conscious turning over on a therapy couch mid-treatment.

Thanks to the heat from the pads (30-40 degrees), a Hydrotherm massage can be beneficial if you suffer from neck pain, lower-back aches, or stiff muscles. The heat helps warm your muscles up, which makes the therapist's movements more effective.

The placement of the warm-water pads is designed to give your back perfect spinal alignment. Your knees are slightly raised and your hands rest below the pads to encourage your body to relax.

At the end of the treatment, your therapist will help you into a seated position, so you can swing your legs off the couch and get your feet onto the floor.

Hydrotherm can be a very soothing and deeply therapeutic form of massage. If you let yourself relax into the experience, you may find that you initially experience the massage as though you are floating on water.

Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage

The Back, Neck & Shoulder Massage gives you the opportunity to get some real work done, but also get some time to enjoy the benefits of 'time-out'. I am able to work on an area that you have told me you have a problem with but then continue to the surrounding area to ensure release goes further. If during the massage we find areas of tension it is down to you to let me know if you want it dealt with. This puts you in charge for the full time which lasts up to 40 minutes.

Full Body Massage

The Full Body Massage gives you the opportunity to get a 'Body MOT'. I am able to go around the complete body ensuring that you are in the optimum condition and when you need relaxation, that is what you get. If during the massage we find areas of tension it is down to you to let me know if you want it dealt with. This puts you in charge for the full massage which lasts up to 60 minutes.

TARGETED MASSAGE

This treatment helps to get to the root of a problem fast, concentrating on exactly where you have an issue, pain or stiffness that you are experiencing and want to sort just that between regular maintenance or full body sessions. This can be used as an introduction to my therapies and gives you a taste of what I can do for you. the session lasts up to half an hour.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE

Indian head massage is an ancient therapeutic treatment that has been practiced in India for thousands of years, and is incredibly relaxing. Indian head massage focuses on your head, neck and shoulders. It is a deep massage, which uses a variety of pressure and techniques that tap into your seven "'chakras" or paths of energy and encourage healing and balance in your whole body.

MIND & BODY THERAPY

MBT as I call it is the mixture of coaching or counselling along with the physical massage. This uses two techniques to ensure we release the tension in both the mind and body during one session. As one suffers with both physical and mental tension, it is best to treat both.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

With my Deep Tissue Massage therapy, clients claim to feel looser and a massive benefit in their future training sessions. i have helped many Iron Men and Marathon runners. When you have chosen to train your body to a high strength, stamina and fitness level you need to be able to allow the muscles to unwind fully and allow the toxins to leave the body quickly after the sessions and get the new fresh oxygenated blood into the muscle to generate growth.

I enjoy showing my patients how just a few treatments can make an enormous difference to their performance as the athletes that they wish to become and maintain.
